WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE AN ICT STUDENT?
One..two..three
features are not just enough to be an ICT student… Nonetheless, what does it
really take to be an ICT student?
For four years, I have been not just
a student because with distinction, I was an ICT student. We, who have had a
subject of ICT are fortunate enough because not all the students of Ilocos Sur
National High School have had it.
An ICT student does not only talk of
a computer literate student. On the other hand, you must have the desirable
qualities for you to learn more.
If you give it your all to a certain
thing, you are steadfast. How could you acquire more familiarities if you don’t
commit yourself to it? ICT is a subject which is not just taken for granted
only. It is essential for us when we step to greater heights.
“I” stands for
“INTELLECTUAL”. We become intellectual if we persist to learn. An ICT student
must be intellectual not only on the lessons, but on himself. He should be
knowledgeable with his attitudes so he can evaluate himself if he really does
want to turn out well.
“C” is
for “CURIOUS”. If you are an ICT
student, you must be eager enough to know more about something. You should not
only be being spoon-fed by the teacher but you should conduct your own probes
to answer your own questions and discover more ideas.
“T” means “THROUGHGOING”. We should be always
careful of what we are doing. The “undos” and “redos” are limited so we must be
careful enough for us to not to end up with failures.
Remember, to be an ICT student is a
commitment. Being an ICT student is being an “Intellectual”, “Curious”, and “Throughgoing” student.
